The Fireworks of St. Giovanni. The evening of June 24th, do not miss the fireworks to celebrate the night of St. Giovanni, the patron saint of Florence. Ponte Vecchio and the Arno river flowing under it will be lit up by the bright lights of the fireworks … all with the nose up, ready to enjoy the magic show!
Fashion in Florence. From 17th to 20th June 2014 as usual the Fortezza da Basso hosts the event dedicated to the world of fashion. In these three days arrives Pitti Immagine Uomo, now in its 86 th edition. The streets of Florence swarm of celebrities and fashionistas who are trying to get your attention with sophisticated and extravagant clothes.
Arts in Florence. Until July 20th, 2014 Palazzo Strozzi hosts one of the most successful exhibitions for the city of Florence, that of Pontormo and Rosso Fiorentino. Two of the most important artists of the Florentine of the period of 500 will allow you to take a trip into their works.
Also at the Palazzo Strozzi you can see, until July 20, another exhibition entitled “Family Matters. Living and represent the family today. “
Palazzo Vecchio offers instead until July 27th, 2014 an exhibition of Pollock titled “The figure of Fury.” There are 16 works by Pollock, inventor of the rules of the west art figurative, which will be exhibited side by side and close to the most important works by the artist dell’500, or Michelangelo Buonarroti. Two great masters are “challenging” inside the building, a symbol of political power in the city.
And for the little ones? The Horticultural Garden (Via Bolognese) is trasformed, until 30th September, in a real playground that will host many events and activities for your little children. The activities begin from the early hours of the morning (10:30) until late evening (24.00). Every day offers something different and fun to do on Tuesday is the day dedicated all’Aperipasseggino, or numerous workshops and activities organized specifically to allow parents to relax in the garden, sipping a drink without worrying about the fun and the safety of their children. Children will perform in various artistic activities, manuals, theater, dance and reading. Every Wednesday there will be the evening dedicated to art and popular music of the Pizzica: young Florentine artists will present their sculptures and installations that will remain on display in the garden throughout the season, resulting in an artistic and unique originale.Il Friday and Saturday of each week are devoted to live music. Dj and young bands will liven up your evenings with music for all tastes.
